This is a highly interactive and experiential workshop/discussion for individuals and teams that are back from the isolation of the recent past. It includes personal and group discussions of their experiences of the past two plus years which may have had the following challenges:

•Hate & Division as political forces
•Social Change – Equality - BLM; anti trans laws
•Psych Wars – Misinformation & Disinformation
•Gun Violence - Mass Killings - Policing Reform•Obstructionist Politics
•Fear for Safety – present and future
•Climate Change
•Economic Issues
•Insurrection
•Quarantine – Masks – Isolation – Vaccines and anti-vaxers
•Grief and Losses
We cannot deny that the world has changed during the past 2-3 years. Isolation has taken over the daily connections at work and schools for almost everyone. Now that we are returning to the world of daily interactions, what are we supposed to do with our experiences of the past few years? Do we try to carry on as if nothing has happened? As if nothing has changed? This is probably not the most psychologically healthy way to recover from our collective experiences.
This workshop is a chance to share our individual experiences and perhaps learn from our collective wisdom on how we cannot get stuck or lost in these experiences and move forward in a positive manner.
Attendees should be willing to share without judgments.
Proposed Session Objectives:
1. Attendees will learn to explore their feelings of isolation over the past few years in a supportive group and understand that they are not alone with them.
2. Attendees may find it easier to be back in the workplace learning they can share their experiences with co-workers without any judgment
3. Attendees will understand that it is OK to share concerns and feeling with others about the isolation and world experiences of the past two years
Presenter:
Grace Anne Stevens, now into the eight decade of her life journey, has taken on different careers, as an engineer, mental health counselor, speaker and author, and multiple relationships as she continues to learn about herself and encourage all people to find and prevail in their own authentic lives.
Program Fee:
A fee of $90.00 per participant will be billed to each institution, which includes parking and continental breakfast.

What are my parking options?
Parking will be provided on campus. We ask that participants follow specific parking instructions which will be emailed to all registered participants before the event. If you would like information on accessible parking spots, please contact us at amclean@rihetc.org
How do I pay for this event?
RIHETC will bill your institution directly for the workshop fee. Contact your Human Resources Office with questions regarding your institution's policy on professional development.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, that is not necessary.
What is the refund policy?
If you find you can no longer attend, we always suggest that you first try to find someone else from your institution who can attend in your place. We are able to issue refunds for cancellations made prior to 15 days from the event date. Cancellations made less than 15 days from the event date cannot be refunded and your institution will be charged for your ticket whether you attend or not. You may transfer your ticket to someone else at your institution at any time, however. Contact your Human Resources Office with institution specific questions.
